We design pieces made to move through real life — early meetings, late trains, weekend plans, full calendars, quiet moments, and everything you somehow fit inside.
A Clio bag is made to be carried, loved, repaired, and kept.
We’re not perfect. We’re not pretending to be.
But we believe in better choices, made step by step.
Materials chosen with care
Leather is a natural, long-lasting material.
The leather we use comes from skins that are by-products of the food industry, and we source our leathers close to our factories whenever possible.
Some of our collections use leather from LWG Gold Rated tanneries. LWG, the Leather Working Group, audits tanneries on criteria such as water and energy use, waste management, emissions, traceability, health and safety, and chemical management.
We also give leftover leather a second life. Our small leather goods are made from leather offcuts from our bag production — turning what’s left into pieces made to be used every day.
In selected lines, we also work with recycled materials, like recycled nylon. Because the right material depends on the right use.
Designed for real life
We design bags for the way people actually move.
That means timeless shapes, thoughtful interiors, adjustable straps, useful pockets, and enough space for the things that make up a day: keys, laptop, lip balm, book, receipts, sunglasses, snacks… a little chaos, usually.
We keep our collections focused, with pieces that each have a clear purpose.

We aim to produce in thoughtful quantities.
Part of our production is launched through pre-orders, helping us better match demand and avoid producing more than needed.
Our bags are mostly handmade, with attention to detail at every step.
Because quality is not only about how something looks on day one. It’s about how it holds up, season after season.
Made to be cared for
A bag that lasts is also a bag you care for.
That’s why we share care tips and offer maintenance and repair services to help extend the life of your Clio. Small scratches, softening leather, signs of a life well lived — we like pieces that age with you.

Packaging that makes sense
Our paper shopping bags and shipping boxes are made from recycled and recyclable materials.
Our dust bags are made from recycled materials, too.
We also adjust our shipping boxes as closely as possible to the size of our bags, because shipping air around the world has never been our thing.
Whenever possible, our bags are shipped by boat instead of plane.
People, partners, progress
We work with partners who respect a code of conduct designed to protect good working conditions for their teams.
Inside our own offices, we pay attention to everyday habits too: sorting waste, using less paper, and being mindful with water and electricity.
